Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was reached following an review of reports of questionable actions towards young women.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
